What happens in Aquatron when the doors close at night?

Aquatron where doing a staff refresher EFR course to ensure everybody had an up to date EFR Certification, they offered as a special price, places on this course for a discounted £45 per person (Normal Price £85) including the EFR course book and the certification.

I took a space on the course to satisfy my curiosity and to enhance my situational awareness of casualty’s.

The course basically involved reading from a book as self study, answering knowledge reviews of the information I had read and then a practical skills session which was demonstration based.

Lots of the information in the EFR manual is very common sense based although I found it very helpful as a first step into first aid response.

The demonstrations where fun and we got to practice CPR and Rescue breathing on the Resusci Anne mannequin

Murder on the divefloor....

At one point Martin had us role playing various scenarios including an electric shock, Car crash (outside the shop) Spinal Injuries and some weird box sex scenario that Chris came up with….

We practised applying bandages, discussed use of a defibrillator and we also tried an oxygen administration system with demand valve and free flow mask.

All in all good fun with some valuable learning thrown in. If you have had no CPR or first aid training then this course represents good value for money and could well help you save a life.

… Hi my name is Davie and I am an Emergency First Responder, may I assist you?
