Kenmore Point, Loch Fyne 04/03/2007
An early start meant Jen, Dave & myself leaving the flat at 7.30am to meet the CUSAC divers at the Pit stop in Arrochar at 9am along with Stevie (Hick Dive on YD).
At the Pit stop we had a good gab and all decided to head up to Loch Fyne, probably Furnace although Dave, Jen, Stevie & myself fancied Kenmore point.
On arriving at Furnace Chris agreed to let me borrow his 4×4 to get us down to Kenmore while they did a dive at Furnace.
The beauty of having great friends and being a member of a dive club!
The wind and sea had picked up to about a Force 4, the sea was like a big choppy thing, lots of white horses galloping into the bay.
Jen decided not to dive, which left Stevie, Dave & myself.
Dive: 124 Start Time: 04/02/2007 12:08 Max Depth: 29.7 Metres Water Temp: 9oC Air In: 198 Bar Air Out: 94 Bar Duration: 48 Minutes
We kitted up and walked down the hill to the first bay, buddy check carried out and we all got into the cold choppy water. I led straight out the bay down to 5 metres, we stopped and checked, we could see with pretty decent visibility about 5-8 metres.
Over the wall we went slowly dropping through the drakness down to 29 Metres, the wall was alive with squat lobsters, deadmans fingers, crabs and blenny’s.
I took a couple of photos and navigated us around the wall, Dave found a large wrasse in a crevice at which point I decided to land on top of him with my usual dive god like skills…..
We kept the wall on our right and came up the gentle slope to the shallows, where we found lots of macro life, the small rocks around 10-6 Metres make an interesting shallow dive with lots of small crabs, hermit crabs and small fish I havent identified as yet.
On the surface the conditions had got worse, we got in with the help of two other divers standing in the bay, settled the kit down and then decided to call it a day, off to the George for soup again

When we got back down the road to Hamilton we stopped off for ice cream at Equis, yummy!
